Intuitive Painting Retreats

These day or week long retreats are facilitated by experts challenging the participant to express their feelings on large papers or canvas.  No art experience required!  Using what ever colors and brushes that speak to you to pour feelings on to the paper and exploring some of the reasons why you ended with such a painting. What can we find out about ourselves from the shapes and colors we choose?  The facilitator creates a safe space for this journey in.  Stuff comes up for sure, but the support of the group will hold you up during the process.

Yoga Retreats

Like a yoga class, a yoga retreat can take on many shapes. Yoga retreats are popping up all over the word, or in the back yard.  I find a Yoga retreat in a tranquil (and warm) location, is what suits me the best.  To retreat, “to move back, to withdraw.” A yoga retreat gives us the opportunity to do just that.

Healing starts with us.  Finding time and space to go inward and unhook from old stories, unhelpful relationships as well as finding a calm mind, and strong body. Some like a retreat that is vigorous with even other activities and usually delicious food.  I prefer a retreat that is more meditative, with pranayama (breath work) components.  Finding the perfect match starts with a search for the specific yoga type.  There are many many yoga traditions.  Hot Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Bhakti Yoga.  When I get a little more time, I will expand on these traditions.
